After running a successful restaurant venture in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, Australia for the past 25 years, Simon and Keiko Kjelgaard have finally made that move back to Japan to realise their dream of restoring and living in an old style Japanese farmhouse, or Kominka. In the ongoing process of refurbishing, we decided to try and record, via this blog, our story of mishaps and adventures along the way to use maybe as a future reference. I am sure once we immerse ourselves more deeply into the community a lot more stories will evolve.
Our vision is to bring our house back to it’s original glory and open it up and share with everyone to get a taste of Inaka style life!
